2019 New Places to Checkout in the BZN

Posted by RSVP Hotel BZN on 18 June 19, 8:00 am

Unless you’ve been living under a rock these past few months (we wouldn’t put it past you, Montanans), you know that Bozeman is absolutely exploding. And we’re not talking just the about the population, honey. With the exciting development around town, we’ve been graced with some seriously fabulous new places—from dinner to coffee, to your next shopping spree. It’s almost hard to keep up! That’s why we’ve put together a list of our favorite new spots to pop up in Bozeman.

Latest Dinner Scoop for the Bozeman Foodie

Barley & Vine

It was a sad day when Over the Tapas closed its doors to our little town, but the emergence of Barley & Vine had us quickly soothing our sorrows with some of Main’s best food and drink. Entering the establishment is to step into an aura of cozy comfort, with its dim lighting, old hardwood floors and walls lined with old barn wood. The joy of this place comes not just from the incredible dishes they offer, but the wines they so expertly pair them with. Stop in after work for Ravioli Gigante that will change your life, or swing by on Sunday for a brunch of gourmet chicken and waffles, and of course some bubbles!

Farmer’s Daughters Café and Eatery

If you’re looking for something that will suit your needs a little earlier in the day, we highly recommend The Farmer’s Daughters. There is truly something for everyone at this lovely little spot. Choose the simple but savory breakfast sandwich, sooth a sweet tooth with GF coconut whipped cream and berry pancakes, or chow down with Haylee’s Hangover Helper. Or, sit down to lunch on a floral pouf with any of their artisan sandwiches or salads in hand. And of course, you can’t forget the libations! Treat yourself to a mimosa, or cheers beers for lunch in one of the sweetest atmospheres Bozeman has to offer.

Latest Boutique Scoop for the Bozeman Shopaholic

Salchicha

Walking into Salchicha is every fashion-forward girl’s dream. Tucked off of North Wallace, this little gem is a sanctuary of the simple and stylish. A standalone in Bozeman, this lovely shop offers basics that are anything but. Just crossing the threshold of Salchica is a calming experience. Its breathy space and mindful design are like a testament to the pieces that surround you. But know, you won’t find racks and racks of items here, as the goal is not quantity, but quality. Perusing the shop is like taking a tour through a well-dressed woman’s closet. It’s just enough of what you need, versatile, unique without boasting, and absolutely timeless.

Ashley Cole

If you’re looking for something with a little more edge, Ashley Cole is a fresh face on Main Street. Both tourists looking to treat themselves and locals alike can find something special in this little boutique. From embroidered bomber jackets to the perfect pair of raw hem denim jeans, you’re sure to find pieces that are absolutely stunning!  Apart from its fabulous product, the shop represents a significant milestone in the Bozeman community. The boutique is officially the last building to be restored after the tragic gas explosion of exactly a decade ago.

Latest Bar and Breweries Scoop for Bozeman Bibulous

Kitty Warren

When Kitty Warren opened beneath what is now El Camino, it seems the entire town of Bozeman did a happy dance. As you make your way down the red-lit stairwell and through the velvet curtain, you seem to emerge in a different place, in a different time. The speakeasy gets its name from one of Bozeman’s historic Madams, who thrived as a demi-monde and business owner in Bozeman’s once buzzing red light district. The dim-lit room speaks something of the sort of mischief it was modeled after, with its dark walls, plush couches, wild greenery and old photos of yesterday’s salaciously dressed ladies decorating the place. As far as their drinks, most are tiki inspired, and in truth, we can’t even pick a fave. Anything of this menu will have you in awe.

Devil’s Toboggan

Our last destination takes us off main and into the Cannery District. Another speakeasy to pop up in the last year (are you noticing a trend yet?), and we couldn’t be more thrilled about it. Make your way upstairs to a room you won’t believe to be real. Heavy wooden beams interlace above you, while the plushiest assortment of oversized wingback chairs surround you. Your server will meet you with a complimentary shot of whatever delish concoction is rotating—last time it was pineapple and basil (to die for)! As for your drink staple, you truly can’t go wrong with what the Devil’s Toboggan is laying down. Try their French 75, which will put any other 75 you have to dismal shame. Want to really get crazy go for a gourmet dessert of wild berry cobbler or the four-layer devils chocolate cake, spiced cashew brittle, topped with vanilla ice cream.
