Cool Things to Do with Your Kids in Bozeman

Posted by RSVP Hotel BZN on 30 April 19, 8:00 am

When traveling with the kiddos in tow, it’s the perfect time to bust out of the same-old-same-old. Exploring the Treasure State together will bring out the moments that will hang with you even when they’re grown and off on their own. Make experiencing Bozeman together as fun as you can with these totally tubular activities, and you will be the coolest parent in town.

Jump Time

Show them you’ve got the hops, and jump around together at Jump Time. This all-ages indoor trampoline park lets you get your workout in, while the kiddos get out the wiggles in a major way. You might also want to just sit and watch the shenanigans, while enjoying snacks and drinks they sell in the seating area. Trampolines for all sizes, a ninja course, a foam pit and a performance wall all make for an exciting time while you’re getting your jump on.

Dinosaur Park

The dino-themed playground at Dinosaur Park will easily be the fave of any aspiring paleontologist in your family. The expansive wooden play structure has slides, an excavation sandbox, dinosaur sculptures and informational displays to make their uninhibited play a learning experience too. There’s also a place for dino-loving littles to have fun while the bigger kids run wild.

Museum of the Rockies

Carry on the dinosaur fun to Museum of the Rockies, Bozeman’s favorite dinosaur museum. As a division of Montana State University and a Smithsonian affiliate, MOR offers up a world-class facility of discovery. The kids will love the huge T. Rex skeletons on display, along with other fossils. Non-dino offerings include a planetarium, living history farm, The Explore Yellowstone Children’s Discovery Center, rotating exhibitions and the Paugh History Hall with even more from Montana’s past.

Dart Zone 406

Dart Zone 406 is the Gallatin Valley’s one and only Nerf arena, a fun spot to bring the whole crew and kick off some fiery competition. Enter the arena and split up into teams to participate in a variety of refereed games that give you the flexibility to come and go as you need to. They supply all the ammo, and can provide blasters too if needed. May the odds be ever in your favor!

Bozeman Beach

Bozeman Beach at the East Gallatin Recreation Area brings beachy vibes to Bozeman, all under views of the mountains. This sandy paradise on the banks of Bozeman Pond offers the perfect place to pull out the stand-up paddleboard, get a game of beach volleyball going, scale the man-made climbing boulder or take some time to sunbathe. The kids will love exploring the trails, and you’ll love how the route loops around to family-friendly MAP Brewing, where brews and gourmet food await.

Easy Hikes for All

When it comes to hiking, your little ones don’t have to be mountain-climbing powerhouses just yet (and neither do you!) to appreciate what Bozeman has to offer. Quick little strolls like Peets Hill offer up amazing views without having to travel far from town, and the Main Street to the Mountains trail system connects downtown to the rest of the valley. The Story Hills trails are the next level up, and Drinking Horse Mountain and the M Trail make the perfect choice for the more adventurous hikers.

Montana Science Center

Formerly known as Bozeman Children’s Museum, the Montana Science Center introduces explorers of all ages to the wonders of science. Get a dose of the infectious excitement when your littles discover the ins and outs of bugs, dive into robotics or get their hands dirty in the Open Lab sessions. See them learn and grow while you enjoy the ride in style!
