7 Amazing Places To Go For A Dip In Bozeman Year Round

Posted by RSVP Hotel BZN on 14 August 18, 6:00 am

For once, weather doesn’t matter when it comes to going for a dip in Montana—at least not with the treasure trove of swimming options available in Bozeman. Of course, the RSVP Hotel pool keeps things fun and charming when summer beckons, giving easy access to chilled drinks and fabulous eats at the Farmer’s Daughter. But come winter, you’ll still be looking to splash around.

Subfreezing temps making your teeth chatter? Or a little summer swelter making you crave a refreshing dip and a change of scene? Either way, you can find a way to get in the water in Big Sky Country. Try out these favorite spots for some glamorous water time, no matter the season.

Bozeman Pond

If the pond isn’t iced over, the most daring dippers could take a polar bear plunge even as the mercury drops. But summer is when this local hotspot really shines. And better even than that good, quality sunbathing time is its close proximity to MAP Brewing, which shares the view of the Bridger Mountain Range that Bozeman Ponds is known for. Get a little boozy while you splash around, and enjoy the outdoors in style.

Bozeman Hot Springs

In the hot summer months, dip your pedicured toes in the toasty pools at Bozeman Hot Springs to melt away muscle soreness, and take a chill dip in one of the cooler spots. For the cold months of the year, strut your stuff in the biting air to get steamy in the naturally fed outdoor pools.

Bozeman Swim Center

Get a local experience splashing around and swimming laps at Bozeman Swim Center. The only 50-meter swimming pool in a two-state radius gives you Olympic-level laps to bring a world-class workout to the lane.

Bogert Pool

Alright, alright, technically Bogert Pool isn’t open year round, but it deserves a mention. When summer hits (in Montana, that means mid-June to mid-August) it’s time to head to Bogert. Its corkscrew water slide snaking into this local outdoor pool merits a mention, and it beats a trip to the water park any day. There’s no such thing as “too old” when it comes to whirling down a water slide, after all.

Norris Hot Springs

Aptly named the water of the gods, Norris is just a hop, skip and a jump outside Bozeman, letting you enjoy the stunning drive to the springs before you dive in. The road takes you to organic eats and local brews at the grill and bar, fueled by house-grown greens. Nothing beats live music under the stars while the pools send steam all the way up to the Big Sky.

Chico Hot Springs

Chico Hot Springs is worth the short trip to Montana’s famed Paradise Valley, where you’ll find a luxury spa experience among hot pools filled with the water of bubbling natural hot springs. Take time out for some prime pampering and enjoy a facial or a massage between soaks. You’ll love to luxuriate in the steamy water and steam things up yourself.

The Ridge Athletic Club

Pump some iron at The Ridge Athletic Club, and then get some laps in at their state-of-the-art facility. This is the spot to get into a good breaststroke while you see how fast you can cut through the clear water. Nothing feels more rewarding than knowing you put in the time to push yourself, even while you’re busy relaxing on a mountain getaway. Or if you prefer to get straight to the relaxing, the in-house hot tub can help you on your way to blissed out chill.
